Remote Access

A private VPN provides a cost effective way to work remotely.

More importantly, Source Computing VPNit bypasses 3rd party providers, which cuts cost and improves security.  And, there are no monthly fees!  Once implemented, the VPN will allow you and your staff to work remotely, as long as you have a computer and internet access.

There are basically two types of private VPN:

  1. A remote-access VPN uses the Internet to provide remote users secure access to their organization’s network. Once in place, a VPN creates a network link back to the device(s) that allows it to reach internal network resources (e.g., file servers, printers, intranets, workstations, etc.) as though the remote computer was actually in the office.
  2. A site-to-site VPN uses a gateway device to connect the entire network in one location to the network in another, usually a small branch or home office. This essentially ties the two locations together as if they were working from one local network, providing the ability to access files, programs, printers, workstations, etc.
